Aetna Ambulance - National Night Out Hartford HARTFORD — On August 8, 2012 Aetna sent EMTs Jordan Smith and Jason Basora to represent the company at The Boys and Girls Club of Hartford’s National Night Out. According to information provided by the Asylum Hill club:

Aetna and ASM Send Ambulances to Mass Casualty in New Britain

NEW BRITAIN — On June 29, 2012 multiple ambulances from Aetna and ASM were requested to Rock Cats Stadium in New Britain for a report of multiple patients suffering from heat exhaustion.

The stadium was the venue for a graduation exercise at the time and due to 95 degree temperatures, many in attendance were displaying signs of heat related illnesses. Aetna and ASM had up to six ambulances and two paramedic units to assist New Britain EMS.

SOUTHINGTON — Aetna’s David Noyes was featured  under the heading People in the Community of the Southington Citizen – Record Journal.

The accompanying article reads: Children in the morning class at Plantsville Community Nursery School, 109 Church St., Plantsville had a visit from an Emergency Medical Technician, David Noyes, during “people in the community month”. Noyes gave children a tour of the ambulance and told them about what he does to help people who are sick or hurt.

Aetna at Hartford Hospital ED - Cill RussoHARTFORD — When Hartford Hospital opened their new Orange Pod within the Emergency Department, a dramatic picture by photographer Cill Russo was displayed in the main hallway.

Russo photographed the Aetna Ambulance Dodge Sprinter at night for maximum visual impact. The shot captures the intensity and urgency of emergency medicine and we were proud to be represented. Aetna has provided EMS to the south end of Hartford since 1945.

Operation Walk, Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute Team Up with Aetna Ambulance

HARTFORD — On Monday, December 6th, as part of Operation Walk USA, several patients from the Hartford area will receive free orthopedic services from Saint Francis Hospital’s Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute.

Frequently these patients are indigent and uninsured. In support of this worthwhile program, Aetna Ambulance Service will provide one of these patients, who cannot be transported safely by other means, with free ambulance transportation to Mt Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital for rehabilitation services.
