MANCHESTER — From a letter sent to ASM: On February 9, 2012, my father – [Patient Name] – was transported from the Emergency Room at Rockville General Hospital back to Woodlake at Tolland Nursing Home. It was a stressful time for both my Dad and I as we anxiously waited for transport.
Your two employees arrived quickly on the scene and with great speed and efficiency, not to mention compassion as they prepared my Dad for his trip back to Woodlake. Both of these fine young gentlemen treated my Dad with the utmost respect and care, first addressing my Dad the patient but ensuring that I was well aware of what was happening.
Once at Woodlake, they did not rush as they got my Dad settled back in his room and made certain that he was comfortable and situated.
With my Dad’s ongoing medical issues, these trips are not unusual however, I did want to take the time to let you know that Brendan and Jeffrey stand out in my mind as being extra-caring, helpful and compassionate; their efforts stand out to me so I wanted to say a great big thank you- I hope ASM realizes what wonderful employees they have in Brendan and Jeffrey.

Thanks for your comment. We certainly are proud. The patient and family have signed off on everything within the post. I could have used the patient’s name but opted not to. Also, a PCR number is not considered PHI. I left the number in so years from now, if necessary, we could reference the particular call. Your HIPAA vigilance is appreciated and please know we take every precaution in this regard.
If the 12-11688 is your incident number, it is considered PHI…should probably redact that from the public post, FYI. It is “individually identifiable” and and further would have no purpose in a forum such as this.
Not to detract from the very positive nature of this… Just a concerned citizen…
