MANCHESTER —
On February 7, 2012 I took part in Rockville High School and Ambulance Service of Manchester’s joint job shadow and I was lucky enough to get first hand knowledge on what exactly goes on with EMT’s.
I was fortunate enough to see three different types of calls, the usually transport, heart/breathing problems and also psychiatric issues. I learned precautionary actions and got some hands on experience that I believe will help me when I go for my EMT license in just a year or two from now.
As every new experience, this one was remarkably educational and helpful in my deciding factors. The two people that I shadowed were both welcoming and understanding with any question I had. I felt comfortable throughout my experience.
